Shields in TBC have a ton of armor, enough so that if you're tanking something that requires a shield you will know right away without having to refer to theorycraft posts in an EJ thread. If you're doing either approach now, you have some combination of overgearing and excess healing for the encounter in question. Both were fun approaches for overgeared tanks in classic. There has been no mention of 2H tanking or DW tanking up to this point, and for good reason. If I can find one of those guides, I'll edit this post and link it. The main advantage Fury/Prot has over a Feral in Classic (more attacks per minute, which reduces threat variance) is negated in TBC when Ferals get Mangle and Lacerate.
